ST. MARY BOILER REPLACEMENT CAMPAIGN As we end another fiscal year, July 1 marks the beginning of a new year for the church which brings a new set of challenges. The state boiler inspector was at St. Mary on June 15th to do their annual inspection. Unfortunately our two boilers are beyond their life and MUST be replaced. We have known for several years that this was going to happen, it is just one of those things you hate to think about. The boiler inspector has advised us and the Archdiocese in writing on his findings and recommendations. At this point we have received the quotations from the Archdiocesan approved supplier. With asbestos removal and two new boilers , the total price is $149,600.00 Just as a side note, these boilers were installed in 1950 and have served St. Mary's well for the past 61 years. We are now running a pledge campaign to collect funds for the cost of the new boilers. Starting in 2012, there will be a monthly envelope for the Boiler Replacement in your collection envelope box. We will keep a running total of the amount collected and where we stand year to date and publish it in the weekly bulletin. We appreciate your efforts in past capital improvement campaigns and your consideration of this need for our parish.
